beers A pub wouldn't be a pub without a great range of beers and ales, and we have worked hard to put together a selection of real ales and lagers that match the quality and style of the food that is served at The Inn on the Pond. Many of the ales come from small local breweries and have won awards.

Our range of Real Ales changes on a weekly basis and there will always be four on tap. You will be able to choose from a selection of the following.

Sharps Doombar Doom Bar from Sharps Brewery
The aroma of Doom Bar combines an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.” 4% ABV
A Swift One from Bowman Ales
A pale, golden quaffing ale with excellent flavours for its strength. Pleasingly hoppy throughout without being aggressive and also possessing of a fine aroma. The finish is dry with a small twist of sweetness at the end. If you feel that this is all rather pretentious then it can best be described as a bloody nice pint!
Horsham Best from W J King of Horsham
The beer is an “all malt brew”, formulated from a blend of best quality malts n amely: - Pale Ale Malt (derived from Marris Otter Barley), Crystal Malt (to give colour and body), Chocolate Malt (to give colour and a slight hint of smokiness to the aroma ) and finally one other specialist barley malt. Hops form an important constituent of the flavour and we blend a variety of finest East Kent whole hops (as opposed to pellets or extract that many brewers use these days) to achieve a balance of Bitterness and Aroma ABV 3.8%
Traditional English Ale from The Hogs Back Brewery

TEA (Traditional English Ale) from The Hogs Back Brewery

Pilgrims Progress

Progress from The Pilgrim Brewery
